A traditional orphan, of course, is a child whose parents were both physically dead. When an orphan grows into adulthood, the orphaned adult frequently manifests significant psychological and emotional issues and behaviors.
Many adults who grew up experiencing childhood trauma share the same issues and behaviors as adults who were orphans. If your parents did not provide the unconditional love you needed as a child, they were emotionally “dead” to you. If you grew up as a child in any of the following situations, it’s likely that YOU ARE AN ORPHAN WITH PARENTS and manifest the same psychological and emotional issues and behaviors of traditional orphans. And don’t be surprised to find that you fit nicely into more than one category:
· Child with emotionally unavailable, absent or neglectful parents
· Child of divorced parents
· Child with disapproving / rejecting parents
· Adopted children
· Abused children
Even if only one of your parents was emotionally dead to you, you might still manifest the behaviors of an orphan with parents. For example, if your father beat you as a kid, you wouldn’t have felt the unconditional love from him that you needed. Your father was emotionally dead to you. How about your mother? Maybe you think she was emotionally available and loved you, but if she never did anything to protect you from the beating, were you feeling her love? Do you ever wonder whether her love was unconditional? If she was just looking out for herself and didn’t protect you from your father, how do you judge her love for you? These questions cannot be answered with simple responses.
If you are an orphan with parents, you are likely dealing with some rather difficult issues.
Orphans With Parents is about TRUTH. I would love to tell you that one day you will wake up and all the pain will have disappeared from your life…. But that would be a lie. For our entire lives we will carry a burden of our childhood trauma, but our trauma doesn't need to remain a large, heavy rock that we struggle to carry every day. Our trauma doesn’t need to haunt us every day of our lives. We can become different than we are now and deal with our childhood experience in a way that the anguish caused by our experiences and memories subsides sufficiently to allow us to experience greater peace, fulfillment and serenity. You will experience greater joy and happiness, lasting for longer periods than you have before experienced.
Orphans With Parents is about creating VISION to understand the genesis and nature of the burdens orphans carry from their childhood. With this vision, you can alleviate your pain by reducing the weight of the burden which you carry.
Orphans With Parents is about HOPE. You will find more hope for a future of peace and joy, but your hope will not be passive. Your hope will be built by actively understanding who you are and whyy ou are. You will create hope by taking steps to deal with your burden.
Orphans With Parents is about generating the WILL to take the steps necessary for greater peace. You can't hope that your childhood trauma disappears as if it never happened. You can't repeat mantras and make the memories in your brain suddenly vanish. But by understanding whywe manifest certain behaviors and emotions, the constant pounding of inadequacy and disappointment in our minds will beat like a distant drum. Your memories will fade into faint recollections.
Orphans With Parents is to help men understand themselves to better deal with the crap from their childhood that affects their lives every day. This book is not about how to get a woman, but rather, how to get yourself. However, there’s a lot of content in this book on getting a woman, which comes from getting yourself.
